It's the loot respawn system more than anything.  It kinda blows as it stands, some servers have basically no loot and some have lots.

 

Any ways, check garages for long range scopes, as well as pink roof houses.  They're actually fairly common when loot actually respawns.

maybe they want to make mosins and guns more rarer so that people don't death match as soon as they find one.

It's not the mosins I'm having trouble with finding, it's the fucking ammunition.

normal

veteral

hardcore

 

those not connected to public hive
