SystemiK 366 Posted June 30, 2012 Well I certainly hope other gaming communities are giving you exactly the same kind of consideration in return. You forget one thing... we spare time modders are already there for a long time (years) in the series.None of us is getting paid for making a mod like rocket. If you guys want to have features in DayZ' date=' he is the one to ask for and the one who has to make them, not anybody else. And our fans would be upset if we suddenly add zombies/infected/or whatever it is stuff to ACE or would put effort into it (even if we MilSim fans are currently a minority in the series).Xeno[/quote']Fair enough. I was being a bit of an ass earlier and I apologize.

nivek 0 Posted June 30, 2012 Great idea, would love something like this to be implemented into DayZ. +

alexander_q 6 Posted June 30, 2012 Oh. Where was this established? I could only find him mentioned as a map-builder.
eero.afheurlin@iki.fi 0 Posted July 1, 2012 You forget one thing... we spare time modders are already there for a long time (years) in the series.None of us is getting paid for making a mod like rocket. To be fair it *did* start as a free-time project. If you guys want to have features in DayZ' date=' he is the one to ask for and the one who has to make them, not anybody else.[/quote']Indeed, however I could not find info on the licensing of ACE on the webpage, so if I could make two requests: 1. put some sort of licensing page up so people understand where you stand. 2. Consider GPL licensing for the code and CC BY-SA(-NC) for the assets (just about all code that I write either as hobby or professionally is GPL licensed [or MIT/BSD], if customer insists on a closed license the cost will up by a magnitude at least, this will usually allow them to see the light)And our fans would be upset if we suddenly add zombies/infected/or whatever it is stuff to ACE or would put effort into it (even if we MilSim fans are currently a minority in the series).I don't think anyone is actually expecting you to put any effort to this (other than maybe using suitable opensource license) and definitely not adding infected to ACE.
