Well DUH. Obviously yes. Ghillie suit only helps you blend in the forest. Thermal scopes will easily spot you out.

Yes 1st post and No 2nd, As with regular thermal sensors, thermal weapon sights can operate in total darkness or through light concealment (smoke, haze, fog, light rain). The thermal scope can be quite useful in places with dense undergrowth and any heat source (such as survivors) making it very easy to distinguish between the two.
