Some minor questions about loot drops.

Recommended Posts

I would like to ask a few things about loot drops:

1. Are the very common vehicle wrecks (brown ones) just decoration? And do they carry loot some times?

2. Is there any loot near non-enterable houses at all?

3. How common are crashed helicopters? Are they found near towns or in remote areas? Are these actual damaged helis or are they they preset crashed blackhawk model with the still usable M134?

1. Yes. No.

2. No.

3. Uncommon. Not rare. Found near towns, which is rare. Mostly found in remote areas. They are actual damaged, and I believe you can still use the M134, but it has no ammo.

to the second question, there is loot in non-enterable houses if the doorway has an entrance but you cannot get inside the house. There is also loot in sheds sometimes and around the ground outside buildings. Most non-entereable buildings do not have loot, however.

Gad is wrong, some houses have spawns on their porches/outhouses, despite being 'non-enterable'. IIRC a good area example of this is the small hamlet north of chernogorsk, and west of vysota hilll.

I wish all buildings, enterable or not, had at least a chance of loot. Experienced players will avoid entire villages because they know the loot there is probably not worth the time or trouble.

Agreed. Dreams of Arma 3 dance through my head.

Well, I'm not entirely sure how the current loot "respawn system" works, is it mostly randomized apart from the airfields and army bases?

I think the non-enterable houses should have better chances for loot. However, this is sometimes compensated for by the fact that sheds and the like spawn loot... as well as porches and stoops on unenterables.

It's a tough situation with what we've got to work with.
