TRUCKER (DayZ) 0 Posted June 29, 2012 So the following happened:I was playing late night.I went into the baracks and looted them. I heard zombies outside and I was too tired to figth them.I log out.the next day I log in and there is a guy in a ghillie suit in front of me.I understand he will shoot me so I try to shoot him first and it didn't workMy AK didn't fire, I had it up and loaded, it did not fire.He ofcourse simply killed me without a problem. So my suggestion is, to be fair to both people:Add a Spawn "Shield" around a spawning player, make him invicible, make his texture blink or add some other visual effect for people to understand that the shield is on and add a timer above their heads. Not a timer that you can see through walls though so that the position wont be given away.ALWAYS give the shield, not only if a player is neaby and ofcourse, make him be unable to shoot. If we have this people wont get insta shot when logging in, or get killed by people that log in near them.It gives both parties a fair chance.Ideas? Bunster 7 Posted June 29, 2012 I think its always a good point to log out somewhere safe not somewhere people will wanna look for loot lol kinda did it to yourself :P
TRUCKER (DayZ) 0 Posted June 29, 2012 Ofcourse, I do not deny that it is partially my fault, it is still unfair and to be honest it is unrealistic aswell.

Womb Raider 92 Posted June 29, 2012 So you spawned into one of the most heavily watched/sought after places in the game and someone killed you and you want "spawn protection". Yeah, nah. Find a safe place to log off, not in the middle of the barracks.

federik21 42 Posted June 29, 2012 i think the only solution is to aware players that you are spawning behind them.So the next time you will log out into a lonely forest, and the problem would be done.
