Downside to ruined clothes

At the moment there doesn't seem to be a downside to ruined clothing other than slightly less protection.

I was thinking that ruined backpacks and things could "leak" items out of holes created by bullets. Any ideas?

ruined items increase dmg to u quite a bit as well as cause u to bleed easier.

 

I imagine when diseases and such are added this will only get worse

Yea that sounds terrible.

 

Ruined or good condition clothes should have zero bearing on how much damage you receive from gunfire.

 

Ruined clothing should behave like ruined clothing, they drop your items or lose inventory spots.

 

Ruined backpack can no longer be carried on your back cause the strap broke off etc.

Ya, my guess would be that that's the direction they eventually go.

Depending on my mood I will sometimes play as though that's the way it works. So if my sweater gets ruined I will drop everything from its pockets or even drop the whole sweater. It currently hasn't really added much to gameplay though, as frequent server restarts has food n clothing practically around every corner.

Items stored in your ruined clothes/backpack can then be ruined in a flash by any sort of received damage. better to keep upgrading

your worn items to pristine. if your shoes are in a ruined state, the chances of breaking your leg increase big time.

there is big positive for the damage clothe is better for hide when some clothe is new is looking bright coloor and shiney but when is damage they going less bright and make the camouflage patterns like the jacket. when I find new jacket but is new one I put best loot in backpack and put on floor this and ask my friend to make axe attack on me BUT DONT KILL THE FACE and after my clothe look more dirty and I am hide better from the m4 bandit
