That would increase KOS for sure. A fresh spawn wouldnt think twice before spraying a fully geared with their cute starter pistol.

 

Fully geared players shouldn't be where fresh spawns are. Serves them right for getting shot at by new spawns.

I for one like how vulnerable the game makes you feel upon spawning... you have no weapon, so that forces you to behave differently to how you normally would. This is a good feature of the game.
