Currently you have 5 minutes imo. If you run hard, you can cover about 2km on the map (depending on altitudes inbetween etc.).

Died in Supermarket in Zelenogorsk. Spawned in Kamenka, run all the way up there, looted my curcass and still it stayed there for more than I needed.

So I'd safely assume it stays there for more than 5mins.

I died a ridiculous death; wanted to stand up to look over the tower's parapet and pressed v instead of c, I hopped over the parapet and fell to my death. That was at Zub. I was lucky to spawn at Cherno near factory, stop and fully loot factory, then run back to Zug and loot my body. Must have taken more than 15 minutes.

Are you sure about this?

Is this why we usually can't find the bodies of our kills? Just the flies though.

Also, what happens if someone aborts/or changes server? Does the dead body has the same effect?

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I ran all the way from Cherno (after a brief stop in the supermarket for sodas and beans and, thank fk, a map) to the NE airfield. Took approx 20-25 minutes, maybe 30, running in as close to a straight line as possible. When I got there my corpse was still there. Died like a retard climbing over the rubble into the control tower. Wasn't willing to lose that loot for such a stupid reason!

I wonder if the corpse dissappearance times have changed recently? When I ran myself over with my UAZ (sigh) by Berezino, I spawned at Electro and ran back directly but when I got there, both UAZ and my corpse had vanished. Must have taken about 20mins. I don't mind losing my stuff, but I wasted 20mins running when I could have taken some time gearing up instead.
