DayZ SA crashes and resets all configuration settings after latest patch.

Recommended Posts

Every time I have tried to play DayZ after the latest patch it just crashes to desktop in the first ten minutes of playing. And then when I start it back up it resets EVERYTHING I have configured in the settings as well as my in-game name. When I exit the game normally it resets all of my settings as well. I am not the only one who suffers this since all my friends suffer the same exact problem. This problem basically makes it impossible for me and my friends to play DayZ together without it annoying us constantly. Please if anyone knows anything to help my friends and I with this problem I would gladly appreciate it, thanks.

I've been suffering from the same problem, but my friends are not. I'm wondering if its something to do with the patch or my computer, however I am no expert. I have been getting around 30 minutes of playing before it will crash to desktop. What kind of graphics do you and your friends play with?

I came to the forums to find a solution for this as well as my friend has experienced this every day since the last patch.

He's on a Geforce gtx 650 with the latest drivers.

I use a Geforce gtx 660 with the latest drivers also and I think my friends have the same or the gtx 650.

I'm not entirely sure if its because of this but it seems that way :/

I recommended my buddy change his GPU memory allocation ingame to something more in line with his card, so if it's set to auto, I told him to set it to the memory he has. If it was on a defined number, I told him to change it to auto.

So far he's an hour in with no Crash. Fingers crossed..

That's the thing me and my friends have already tried that as well with no success!

I think I might just wait it out until the next patch and see if they fix this issue and hopefully they do.
