DayZ Blue Screening on launch

So my friend recently bought DayZ and upon launch his screen would go blue and he was only able to hear sounds that the DayZ loading screen would produce.

 

I'm not sure why this is happening but I would love if someone could help me so I can give him an explanation. One thing to note is he doesn't play on a standard computer monitor, he plays on a television screen using an HDMI cable. If anyone could help solve this problem it would be much appreciated.

At the time of this post this is the info I was able to get out of his PC specs

Processor: Intel Core i5-4570 3.20Ghz [link]

Graphics Card: Intel HD 4600 [link]

RAM: 8 GB
