Servers losing connection?

My friend and I have played on 2 servers tonight and had to exit both due to the reoccuring message of :

" No response can be reached for 10 seconds "

" No response can be reached for 15 seconds "

" No response can be reached for 20 seconds "

" No response can be reached for 25 seconds "

and the server disconnects us.

What does this mean?

Is this due to switching over from dusk -->> night map?
