Permanent items

Me and my clan (12ish) were thinking about setting up a tent hidden in some woods full of medical supplies, somewhere north of the main cities. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of doing this? Is it likely someone would find it first? How long would the items stay there? If we just dropped a pack on the ground full of items, how long would that stay there?

The tents can (may not) survive server restart.

So the tent and the items inside will never (or will) disappare.

But the game is still bugged so thats way the tent can despawn.

And dropping items wont stay for long, not sure how much, but it will decay.

What about bodies (zombie and player alike)

Could one store items on them for any period of time?

Zombies disappear within a few minutes or if people nearby leave or quit. Player corpses stick around until server restarts. Though there has been times where a player corpse will be gone after running back from a respawn, so they're not to be trusted as storage either.
