Vanilla Dayz barracks loot

Is terrible. I see people with DMR's everywhere yet I've hit the barracks like 20 times in 1-2 days and the best I've gotten is 1 SVD with 2 mags. Do DMR's even spawn there anymore?

It's hit and miss I think. Out of 6 times (give or take) I will find:

 

2: nothing

2: low value stuff like cans, G17

1: medium value stuff: AK kobra, M4 CCO

1: high(er) value stuff like a MK48, M21 etc

Everywhere?  That seems like a bit of exaggeration, but remember, people hoard in DayZ.  People may have weapons stored up in tents that they have found over a period of weeks or months.

 

The loot in the barracks isn't terrible.  It's great for vanilla.  Vanilla isn't Overwatch or Epoch.  Personally, I've only come across one DMR in a barracks in the last 3 weeks.  That's fine with me.  I want to cherish a weapon like that.  Also, remember to look for heli crash sites.  You'll often find better loot there.  Also, you can always kill one of those DMR toting players you see everywhere and take it from them.   :)

You also have to remember, (If your on official hive or an older server), that those guns may be months, or even years old, from past updates when they were more common. They spawn at crashsites a lot, to.
