it really bothers me that i am unable to communicate with anyone because it takes away form the game and makes working in a group impossible for me, i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this.

I thought it worked now, is your server you play on using an old version or something?

I think it is a server option that has to be activated. Some servers have it, some don't. I also notice alot of servers enabling side chat aswell.
