Quick ideas for some food that could be added to DayZ.
 
-Drinks-

Pop Bottle-

Larger, 2 liter bottle of pop at first, than can be filled with water.

 

Whiskey Bottle-

Small bottle of alcohol, should be drunk in moderation, or the player will become tipsy and will not be able to drink more.

 

Bleach-

Plastic container containing a deadly chemical, death upon drinking.

 

-Produce-

Bread-

Can be consumed as-is or toasted.

 

Broccoli-

An edible ingredient for soups.

 

Cabbage-

A very nourishing cabbage that will help hydration.

 

Carrots-

Bundle of carrots, multiple portions that can be consumed, can be used in soups.

 

Corn-

An ear of corn that can be directly consumed, can be added to soups.

 

Grapes-

A small vine of grapes that can be consumed in small proportions.

 

Lemon-

Sour food, can be consumed.

 

Mushrooms-

Can be found in kitchens or collected in the woods, some may be either poisonous or edible.

 

Onion-

Last resort food than can be eaten, can be added to soups.

 

Peas-

A package of frozen sweet peas that can be eaten raw or used in a soup.

 

-Meat & Dairy-

Beef Jerky-

Found in a package, causes thirst, but lasts longer than other foods.

 

Eggs-

Comes in a carton of 10 and can be cooked on a frying pan, dangerous if eaten raw.

 

Dead Rat/Mouse-

Can be found in cupboards and sheds, can be cooked and then eaten.

 

Milk-

Perishable drink that is either in a 1 gallon jug, 1 liter carton, or in an 8 ounce carton.

 

Butter-

A brick of butter than can be found in fridges, can be used in soups and spread on bread or toast.

 

Ice Cream-

A bucket of ice cream that can be found in fridges.

 

-Non-Perishable-

Chocolate-

Long lasting bar of candy.

 

Chips/Crisps-

A bag of crunchy chips that come in different flavors, a bit loud.

 

Popcorn-

A bag of popcorn that can be popped over the fire.

(best popcorn ever created)

 

Peanut Butter-

A jar of peanut butter for his/her pleasure.

 

Dry Noodles-

Can be eaten raw or added to some hot water over a fire.

 

Dog Food-

A can of dog food, may have a pull-top or has to be opened with a can opener. Last resort food that does not replenish much hunger.

 

TV Dinner-

A box that contains a frozen dinner, can be thawed out over a fire.

 

-Inedible Ingredients-

Flour-

A sack of flour, possible ingredient for foods.

 

Tea Bag-

A bag of tea leaves, can be added to a kettle to make Tea.

 

Coffee-

A tin of ground coffee beans, can be added to a kettle to make Coffee.

 

Sugar-

A bag of sugar, used in Tea or Soup.

 

-Misc. Food Tools-

Bowl-

A multipurpose kitchen tool. Can be filled with canned food and used to drink water from wells.

 

Empty Mug

Used in creating Tea and Coffee. Can be filled with water.

 

Kettle

Used to make Tea and Coffee. Can be filled with water.
