Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted July 1, 2014 Had a pretty good run with my latest char, did a lot of exploring, managed to gear up decently after visiting everything from Elektro to Balota to Berezino, won a few encounters, helped a few folks out. Was feeling pretty good. Then, well, I had an interesting encounter. I'm running up the coast towards Berezino and I see a guy running towards me, so I go prone behind a rock. From 1st person I can tell I shouldn't be able to be seen/sighted from over the rock. But as I check that - woah, he's got whatever that long range sniper rifle that sounds like a hollow pogo stick and he's seeing/shooting me through the rock from what must be at least 400m away! I die, not able to get a shot off. Maybe I was wrong about how tall the rock was vs how low I was lying but I was pretty sure there was no way I could be shot from there. So I hit esc to see what he's going to do with my corpse, it's dark but I can see him. I see him looting and it looks like all he has is the gun he shot me with, other than that he looks like a fresh spawn. That's strange... I see him take my backpack and I'm assuming most everything else. And then, woah, what? Now there's 2 of him, and one of them kills the other. And now there's a 3rd of them, and one of them kills the other again. I'm pretty sure I just witnessed something wrong on several levels, it looked like an item duper but the situation leading to my death seemed to be something else non-legit. Is the item duping exploit still around and is there any other exploit that allows shooting through what should be solid objects? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
n1kko 326 Posted July 1, 2014 The item dupe glitch is still there. I accidentally duped my body near zelenogorsk, but I have no idea how to recreate it. As far as him hitting you through a rock, I have no clue what that could have been, maybe a part of you was sticking out, and just remember, just because you can't see them doesn't mean they can't see you.
