I was roaming down the East coast mindin' my own

and came across a couple bad guys; but I was alone!

I cut the field into the trees and found a sizeable stone

but one of the bandits must have seen me and my cover was blown

Yo, I got a real bad feelin' inside, 

I started scootin' towards the only place I thought I could hide,

but all those guys were movin' in and I was totally trapped

Damn; I can't believe I was about to get capped..

Now the only gun I had was a pistol

And when their flashlights hit it it was glowing like a crystal

I ran quick and I hit 'em with the jukes

Couldn't find me anymore, so they split up into groups. (ha!)

But then I tripped running into a door

I went full speed, head first, hittin' the floor

I made the most amount noise that I could possibly make,

and every zombie in the area was surely awake

I took some cover at the counter in the store for a breath,

The last thing I had in mind was this horrible death

I started begging for a chance or a way to get out..

filling the cold air fully with a desperate shout

But then a bullet pierced the metal that was keepin' me safe  

Somebody's leaving here tonight, the other sleeps in a grave.

I heard my radio receive but I was under attack    

With all the pain I guess I must have gotten shot in the back

I think I heard somebody talkin' over all of that noise

He'd better get here quick because I'm getting destroyed!

And there he was up above, looking down at the ground;

Here to pick me up and take me to a quieter town

It took a while for the brave dude to hear my cries

but let me tell you; he's the only reason that I survived,

Thinking back I wouldn't have it any other way,

The fully geared man let me live to see another day.

I healed up and he told me I would be okay.

Yeah.. He let me live and I can see another day.
