DayZ Unplayable FPS with decent computer! Help!

Recommended Posts

I bought DayZ standalone yesterday and today i joined a game and encountered an unplayable amount of lag and FPS I am guessing I am getting like 2 or 3 FPS. Any attempt at fixing this was futile including changing everything to low or very low and changing launch options like i was advised. I am a novice with computers so the specs mean nothing to me so I will post some screenshots. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you :)

That's your problem.  Are you sure you have a dedicated GPU?

Click on start, in the search bar type "Device Manager"  In the window that pops up, click on where it will say "Display adapters"  And tell me whats there.

You need to turn off the intel graphics and run the amd card, but it's a mobile gpu so you might not see a massive performance increase.

Derp. I have no clue why I didn't just google the model to begin with.

He's right, the system was not intended to be used as a gaming machine.  There are a few things you could do to get your FPS up, but it would kill the graphics and make it look bad. :/

If you right click on the desktop it should give you the option to switch between graphics , if not make sure the drivers for the amd card are installed (Dell don't always bother) if they are then change your power saving setting from power saving to high and this should a kick over to the amd card or give you the option when you right click on the desktop.

However, even intel graphics would play with more than 2-3 fps...

At 1920x1080, that's unlikely.

I have Intel HD 4400, not much powerfull, and I can play 1366x768 on low with 20 fps.

Yeah, buddy. You're gonna have to tweak like mad, and even then play at pretty dismal resolution and settings... if you can get it running comfortably at all
