Server Restart - Car gone

Following situation: We were playing on lu 23 and we made it to repair a car the first time (S1203 van). We drove around for 10 minutes i guess and we had a lot of fun but then the admin Flips restarted the server without warning while we were in the car. After reloging the car was gone. My question is now: Is there any way we can get our car back without getting a new one?

The car should be pretty close to where you drove it, maybe a few (hundred) meters away from it.

You, however, should spawn where you got into the car.

I'm afraid it is not so.

Players spawn where they actually were during the restart and the vehicle respawns where it was actually entered last. So let's say you drive around for 30 minutes, refuel at the gas station near cherno/electro and then go straight north to park it in your base - only - the server restarts 100m away from your base.

That's gonna be a hell of a jog to a vehicle that's not very likely to stay there for long.

Excuse me, but I actually HAD it happen to me that the server restarted while I was in a car.

I was sitting in the car, ready to go, next to a general store, when suddenly the server restarted.

When we got back on, I was where I entered the car (miles away) and the car was infront of the store.

I travel a lot on ATVs and Bicycles on a server that seems to crash/restart a lot and what I described happens to my vehicles 100% of the time.

From my experience and understanding it should be the player's location that's updated more often and the vehicle's only on entering/exiting and saving.

Either way, having vehicles teleport around is annoying and really disruptive. I wish it was higher on Rocket's to-do list.
