Bandages

Recommended Posts

Ok so playing today and I have to admit I'm a little upset. I find my way into a a nice school house. Shut all the doors and start searching for supplies. I clear the building and stop to take a drink of water and in the middle of the drink a zombie ran through a wall and beat me to a severe condition. I had no bandages after I killed the thing but there was a black tracksuit upstairs. I ran up there to get get it and I tried to cut it into a tourniquet, but no luck. I think that being able to cut clothes into a tourniquet or bandage would be a great addition. Oh and keep the zombies on the other side of the closed doors.

That would help for sure, but shirts can be torn into bandages, including the t-shirt you start with.

Because bandages are stackable and shirts fairly plentiful, unless you need one, I tear them into rags whenever I come across them.

Just make sure you always have at least 4 rags and you'll never bleed to death.

Only t-shirts can be torn. Everyone knows it's impossible to rip up pants or a jacket, just try it. it doesn't work, try it in real life and your head will probably explode or something.

You might not be able to tear thicker materials by hand, but there's no reason you can't cut them up with something sharp.

Nope. Try it. I dare you. <_<

What would be cool is if we could stop the bleeding with our hands, with a penalty to running speed or the ability to run at all.

Instead of having to run around with blood spraying from your shoulder you could hold your hand over the wound to stop the bleeding until you found a rag or bandage.

Since there's every chance you could just not find anything and bleed to death when a real person could take their jeans off and use them as a crappy bandage.

Well that won't stop the bleeing but it would slow it down, you'll need some bandage material anyways. I'd rather suggest that you could slow down the bleeding by pressing your hand on the wound, but the penalty would be a risk of infection, if the wound won't be desinfected.
