Destroyed Buildings

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this has been asked before but.

SOME buildings should be destoryed or damaged, would make more places to hide from bandits and zombies plus would break away from the now normal camp areas. Plus would make walking down a street more terrifying if you see a guy run into/on a destroyed building.

PLUS funeling people/zombies wouldn't happen as bad so would make more entrances rather than camping stairs/ladders.

Only problem i see is zombies and collision with these buildings.

That is not possible with the Arma 2 engine. I'm not sure if even Arma 3 offers a destructible environment, but we can only hope that eventually we can see this.

However, you do understand that this means eventually, all servers will have all the towns completely leveled, right? Don't really see this working realistically, at least not just yet.

Yes it is.

But its implemented in a fairly basic way, as in: The buildings take a set amount of damage then change their whole model, its not a gradual system like the one DICE built.

If you don't believe destruction is possible go in the editor get satchel charges and blow up a building.

It'd be sweet to have though, i wonder if arma 3 is doing anything along the lines of a physics engine.

Well, if you happen to have a smoke grenade, just simply throw it at a building. =)
