Day Z suggestions :D

Hello friends! I would like to share some of my opinions on what should be fixed in the game and what should be added. If you dislike one of my suggestions please feel free to comment explaining why. Saying "ITs becuz u have no skill bro" would not be mature/help tweak suggestions. I took down 2 zombies in NE airfield and proceeded to take out one guy in cover killing innocent people with an m4a1 who was fully looted and had a friend next to him spamming sks bullets accuratly near my position. I am not trying to brag or say im the best. I am just trying to have a logical conversation.

 

 

First to go is the m4a1. It is very accurate and has a slightly descent rate of fire. I feel that it should be a bit more inaccurate and have a higher rate of fire. Its power is fine but its very accurate which makes it a pretty descent weapon. I hit my target from 5 feet away when running in a fight with around %85 percent accuracy. I like it a lot but that slight adjustment would make it a better weapon.

 

 

There should be something added to the game like when you are shot you fall down and there would be some animation showing it and you get back up or you have to crawl for a couple seconds to recover. Depending on what you are wearing. This will be able to fix problems with OP guns. Like the mosin. Instead of me shooting someone in the chest and them dying instantly how about they fall down and maybe break an arm or something. This would be perfect for the crossbow. Most people dont instantly die when shot from crossbow (depending on where they are hit obviously) but it adds new possibilities to the game by adding this feature. 

 

Ex. I told my friend to shoot me right at my press vest with a magnum from a couple feet away. l went unconscious for a minute and a half and didint bleed because of the vest.I dont feel like the magnum should be able to do that. Its a 2-3 shot kill most of the time and its suppose to have stopping power like it does now.

 

If you add a drop effect like I explained it would make the gun a little less OP and more realistic. Try and concider it and think about some guns that would go perfect with this feature. I was shot by a guy with an m4 a couple times from slightly medium range. I kept running same speed ahead to take cover and didint really bleed. Falling unconscious from that would seem a bit out of place and dying instantly would definetly make the gun OP. But Falling down for a few seconds and having to get back up with maybe a bit of screen blur for a few seconds would fix this problem. Just concider and think about it for am inute before making a post against it.

 

 

There needs to be some type of bullet proof vest that has descent resistance against bullets (not blunt weapons or melee) The press vest does offer a small amount of resistance but it dosnt really do much.   
Adding something like the bullet proof vest and letting it spawn in police stations would make the game a bit better. People walk in police stations knowthing the best they will find is a gun. There is no point on visting a police station if theres an army camp right near there. Adding a bullet proof vest would actually make people want to search police stations more often. 

 

You should also introduce a dual weild capability for certain pistols. For smaller weapons like the 9 mm and the .22 pistol. I feel it will encourage people to use those guns more because noone really likes using those too much. They are weak and I just ignore them because of their low power. Duel Weild makes it so if you actually have skill with using them you can be able to make use of having 2 pistols. Maybe have a special vest that you must have before you can dual weild weapons. I kinda like this idea.

 

Fire extinguishers and certain items should block bullets or blow up with small radius damage. Maybe offer the ability to take out all the stuff in the fire extinguisher using a certain item and then you can place it down to use it for cover if you camp or something. This sounds pretty descent!

 

The shotgun is a bit too under powered. Ive shot a guy once in the chest and once in the leg/chest and he didint die and this was at close range. Ive been shot 3 times in the head from my friend who was standing 5-7 feet away. Maybe if you activate double shot mode you do a bit more damage per hit. There needs to be different types of ammo for it too. Like a tighter spread shot for better chance to damage. This would really make the gun more used in the game and I like this idea. I know one of these things needs to come true at least. What do you guys think?

 

Annoying things:

 

Here is one of 3 annoying things that happens. Sometimes when I leave a server (not combat logging or being unaware of anyone near me) I get shot or attacked by a zombie when off the server. I understand the need for the fake combat log NPC. To stop players from leaving in the middle of gunfights or when being shot at. If I get hit and leave thats when I deserve to be punished. Not even if I ran from gunfire from some bandit sniper or something and I have to go do something important and I must log out ASAP because of something. I feel at max the npc should stay for 15 seconds. If the guy really wants the kill then he should get up from his camping spot and try to actualy do something. Ive been shot before and waited so the guy could just come and fight. Then Ive left and realised I died ven though I waited a reasonable amount of time. Some people dont have all day to sit around waiting for the attacker to do something. Minimising the Combat log NPC time would actually make people want to get up and advance from his little camping spot so he could actually do something instead of waiting it out. 

Sometimes people do fire at someone and miss then chicken out and leave taking advantage of the persons fear to approach. Ive seen a couple people do that. Thats why instead of punishing everyone the person who has been shot at could maybe collect proof and report the guy on the forums. Maybe there could be some log system where you can look up online a player on the site and then see who he damaged then how much time till he loged out or something. 

 

1.) NPC's should not be able to attack the player that logged out unless the NPC hit the player recently. 

 

2.) Players combat log NPC spawn time should be minimized or not appear when not damaged.

 

This will ensure that innocent people are not killed when they obviously did nothing wrong. I have not had too much problem with these types of things. But it just really is annoying when stuff like this happens.

 

Another thing to talk about is players glitching when logging in/out then dying automatically. Ive had this problem quite a few times and I almost quit because of it. Collecting 2-4 boxes of m4a1 ammo legitly then dying is very painfull. If a player is glitched or whatever then the player should be automatically moved to a different spot like on the roof or right outside. There should be a team of people who set locations a player can be teleported if glitched. Like if you are in a building and log out in a glitchy spot then you are teleported to the lowest level to the right or to the left or just any general safe spot. Please get this fixed soon <3  

 

My final point is the annoying "Press F to reload mag/snaploader/watever" I sometimes open doors and then I see this option annoyingly pop up and its so annoying because most of the time I accidentaly make it reload. Maybe Double tapping F automatically does it or something. There should be an option in the options menu were you can just click "Hints" or stuff like that and you can go through specific things to disable/enable. This has happened just too much and I absolutley hate it. Why do I want to reload my gun if I have a full one inside already. This just bothers me so much because it happens so often and it really ruins my gameplay time. Especially if you accidentaly reload a 40 rounder into your m4 when you had a 60 rounder placed in. Please fix this imediatly because it worsens things more than helps and I am sure other people can agree. If I have one snap loader for a gun I usualy just slam it in the gun cause if I dont it will bother me with "press F to reload".

the m4 is not accurate at ALL with the standard parts. try hitting something beyond 100 metres with the stock gun.

 

you say you hit your target from 5 feet away with 85 prozent of accuracy ? there you have the result: shitty accuracy.

5 feet away ? every gun should hit with every bullet from 5 feet away. thats like fucking 1,5 metres ?!

 

and the gun wont have bigger dispersion just because you run, because, thats just not how guns work, in reallife.

 

 

but i like the point with falling over when hit by crossbow etc

 

dual wield will probably not get implemented, because it just doesnt work.

if you have one pistol, you can easily look down the sights, but with two pistols, you wouldnt even know where you shoot at,

and shooting out of the hip is VERY hard, try it with one or two cameras, go outside and say, i want to make a picture of that tree 20 metres away. now try to have the tree in the exact middle of the picture, without using the monitor, or the small "look-through" Thing, by holding each of the cameras in one Hand :D

 

 

 

 

yep, the reload options in the action menu is pretty annoying. i think they already said they want to change it
