SFRGaming 718 Posted June 14, 2014 How much RAM do you have? Reason I ask, Minecraft is extremely RAM intensive. Check to make sure your OS hasn't switched over to Power Saving Mode. Check all temps. Make sure your CPU is not stupidly under-clocked. Re-seat your GPU and RAM. Check to make sure ALL connections are secure. Reset your BIOS to default settings. If all checks out and FPS is still bad, get some thermal paste and re-seat the CPU. Do NOT re-seat the CPU with the old thermal paste. Clean off the old paste with 70% or more Isopropyl Alcohol and a Lint-free cloth.
D3NTH3M3N 18 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) I think back in the day i made a mistake with the cpu.I removed the CPU-cooler, and i DIDNT readd the thermal paste. Is this why, i might lagg on Minecraft, and Dayz?I removed, the cooler to see where my cpu was.. :Pofcourse its back now. I checked the CPU temprature, Normal load its 34 Celcius. On heave load ( prime 95 ). its 61, celcius. Im going to buy Thermal paste, very soon and re-add some thermal paste! D3NTH3M3N 18 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) I see.Do i need to readd, some paste, since its just 61/ 62 Celcius? ( and not overheating ).I have indeed, checked everything you sad, but it is all right.I think my pc just hates those games :P:(I got 8 GB of Ram btw. elf cakes 559 Posted June 14, 2014 arma: the only game where having a GTX 780 still gives you terrible fps.
D3NTH3M3N 18 Posted June 14, 2014 Lol ^.That is true.I can play Crysis 3, battlefield 4 etc no problem.. =P
SFRGaming 718 Posted June 14, 2014 It's because their games are CPU intensive. If all else fails, just do a system wipe and re-install everything.
D3NTH3M3N 18 Posted June 14, 2014 Have, done that.Re-installed Windows 7.I think, its only arma. :POh well.thanks for the help btw!
SaveMeJebus 164 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) I have no problem running the game (any of those games you mention really) with an i5-3570 (OC to 4.3) and a gtx 760 not sure exactly what your problem is, what do you have your ingame settings at? Setting alot of the graphics settings to low offloads them from the gpu to the cpu and actually hurts performance more, if you can't shut it off completely set it to normal and see if that helps any (if your not set at that already) Edited June 14, 2014 by SaveMeJebus

Keep the 3570K, watercool it and then overclock the bejebus out of it. Unless you run applications that need the Hyper Threading that you get from an i, don't do it. Even fully overclocked, the latest top of the line Haswell CPU won't give more than a 10% performance boost over a 3570K @4.5GHz.
