Website Suggestion

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I saw many Dev's complaining about ppl who suggest the same things over and over again, so some things get said 1000 times because ppl rage on em and the interesting and relevant suggestions/feedback/bugreports get buried under a pile of rubble. My suggestion for example if you want to avoid such stuff is to restrict posting on forums for people who didnt touch a certain amount of posts.

1.) Use Announcement Forums just for announcements. If someone wants to give feedback on a topic, let him create a Thread in a new Feedback thread.

2.) Make the Suggestions thread restricted. If you want to post a Suggestion you have to reply to at least 20 Posts. This gives anyone having a suggestion enough time to:

a) Think about the Suggestion once again, will it fit the style of the mod, can it be done or is it not worth the time needed to implement it.

b) Read other Threads, 80% of the "new suggestions" have been said somewhere before. Less plagiatism.

c) Get some information on the topic you want to post on. For example read the fucking F.A.Q before creating the 10000th thread on day/night cycle.

d) Get familiar with the game. Many ppl come up with great ideas after playing one hour. I dont say that such ideas can not be good but ppl should experience the whole aspect of the mod first and suggest stuff afterwards

3.) Delete/Move posts that are in the wrong section.

4.) Having any eye on the forum could be a hard task for the mods. If you need some help I suggest to let the community apply to become moderators as anyone here wants this mod to grow and two or three more mods just for the sake of order is a good deal IMO as more order will make it easier for the Devs.

Greets,

MrS
