Who are we?

TheGamingCentral is a small community that was established on the 1st of May 2014, and has recently expanded into creating a more friendly and enjoyable server for new and veteran players of all types. For those who has just started off, they can easily pick up how to play the game as the admins can show them what to do and potentially get them involved in other player groups.

 

TheGamingCentral is a very active server that is updated weekly (and sometimes daily) to brand new features and bug fixes for our players. Unlike some other servers, we listen to our player feedback and adjust the server files to achieve their ideas.

 

What we provide?

Apart from the active admins, weekly updates and players choices to have their ideas put into the server. We make the server more enjoyable for players. Each week we create one of 3 random events in the server.

 

This can range from:

• Vehicle Seekers - Find the hidden vehicle with the special loot inside.
• Fishing Derby - Collect the most fish within a period of time.
• Hunger Games - Eliminate the enemies in order to survive.

Each event can be very rewarding from special weps, booting loot or GOLD!

 

Server Features (Ver: 0.7B):

In order to keep track of our updates, we give versions to each update we release so we can easily roll back the update if something is broken and creates a mess for other mods we have.

 

• Tow & Lift - Tow or lift that vehicle that's completely broken back to your base!
• Roaming AI - Friend or foe, be wise of those choices.
• AI Missions - Team up with others or take the mission yourself. Either way, it's rewarding.
• Infected Camps - Camps infected by zombies? has loot inside? I'm coming, momma!
• Self Blood Bag - Never again trust a stranger robbing your bloodbags.
• Auto Refuel - Jerrycan? nope. Just use the fuel pump.
• Service Points - Because fixing vehicles is back breaking. Get a zombie mechanic to do it.
• Build Snapping - Never again misplace a wall in the wrong rotation.
• Vehicle Flip - Car upside down? Let's use magic to turn it back.

Core features:

• Powerful Server Host - No FPS or Net lag!
• Active and Friendly admins - Unlike other servers, the admins in TheGamingCentral has to strictly follow a "Code Of Conduct". Breaking this will lead them to be kicked off the team. Due to this, you won't need to worry about admins abusing their powers.

 

How to get on Overpoch:

For those who has no idea on how to get onto Overpoch, it's actually quite simple.

Download Epoch -> Download Overwatch -> Add -mod=@DayZOverwatch;@DayZ_Epoch to your Additional Launch Parameters

UPDATE - A new patch has been released to the server containing the following updates / fixes:

 

Mission:

- Fixed a script issue that caused the debug monitor not to load properly on mission start. (Jack)

- Updated the intro and added the new admins of the community. Welcome guys! (Jack)

- Removed the broken fastrope as it never worked in the first place. (Jack)

- Added "BTC Fast Rope" in replacement of the previous fastrope feature. Hopefully this one works... (Jack)

- Improved the intro creds: (Jack)

  - Changed "Admins" category name to "The Team".

  - Added category for each section of the team we have.

 

Server:

 - EXPERIMENTAL: Added animated heli crashes. (Jack)

Event of the week: Vehicle Seeker

Yes, once again it's that time of the week! This week we have selected the event: "Vehicle Seeker". The first player to find the vehicle and get out of there without dying, wins the loot inside the vehicle.

 

Event Date: 16/06/2014

Event Time: 12PM GMT

Event Hoster: Jack

 

Brief description:

Each event of Vehicle Seeker, head admins will select a random vehicle and fly it to a location and hide the vehicle. In the vehicle, the admins will load up with loot such as weapons, supplies, specials and so on.

 

At the event time, the admin will global the coordinates of where the car will be nearby. Players will then have to either team up with others to find the vehicle faster, or kill the competition in order to find it.

 

The one that successfully gets away with the vehicle gets the loot inside and can keep the car (since we leave the keys inside.)
