God damn barbed wire!

I dunno if I am the only one but I am getting sick of spawning somehwhere, then finding an building to loot only to be covered in barbed wire!

It happens all the time and I never find any weapons and just die!

I don't know what to suggest really, I would like for it to disappear when the player leaves the server or something but I don't rally know.

Anyone else know how I feel?

I have encountered the same problem many times, I hear a tool box can dismantle them but they are rarer than barbwire and I've only just found one ~(after 3 days of searching) I am yet to test it.

You can remove them with the tool box by right clicking on it i believe.

just remove them from the game or make so that birbed wire takes 5 slots in your inventory.

The game becomes more unplayable every patch

I found a toolbox but was unable to remove barbed wire, even when I was aiming at the steel poles (as is instructed on the wiki). Only after I found a wire fencing kit in addition to the toolbox was I able to take them down. I have already made a thread about this problem and I completely agree, they need to be removed completely or maybe reset the wiring every time a server is restarted. These serve no purpose whatsoever as people are only blocking major loot spots with them and leaving the wiring there, no doubt to cover their asses as they server hop. Anyone whining about how they need it for their bases: tough luck. If enough assholes exploit something like this then it needs to be removed imo.

I fully agree with the OP. Nothing pisses me off more than spending 20 minutes sneaking past 8 or more zeds into a firehouse only to find barbed wire blocking access to the loot.

My suggestion: Greatly decrease the spawn rate of barbed wire and/or increase the spawn rate for toolboxes.

Right...that would remove the need for them all together. They aren't even much of a bother to be honest. Remove them and problem solved.

I could understand lowering the drop rate of them because I have about 10 or more in my car..>.<

but that's part of the "game" (It's really more of a simulator) in real life, you can't just go "hey these barbed wire here, they really need to take these out of existence because they're in my way"

Wow really...something is hindering your progress and making your life difficult in a game about survival....what next gonna complain the zombies never give you foot massages and put a mint under your pillow? ......

Seriously though barbwire is another item that can be infinitely spawn untill .2 launches so you see it alot after the patch it should not be around as much. They need to make it not go through walls though and is should take more slots in inventory It makes no sense that wood for a fire place takes more room then a roll of barb wire that can cover a 30 foot area.

It really isnt that bad though it is hardly as dire a situation as the zombie respawn rate and pathing issues.

That packaging is pretty compact, so 2 slots taken up would probably be more appropriate. Of course, the package mentioned in the game also includes the stakes. Still, not something that should be feasible to put 10+ in your pack =/
