GanjaPalooza 35 Posted June 8, 2014 H1Z1 could possibly be just another company trying to cash in on the popularity of the 'zombie survival' games as of right now; there are a ton of them. While Sony is a larger and more successful company than most jumping on the band-wagon, I would still be very wary of any game of this concept comes out in the near future. I will give it a chance when it releases for free, unless I hear wonderful things about it during the Early Access phase... but I am not holding my breathe. Pandema 352 Posted June 8, 2014 So, this thread has devolved from a discussion on the pros and cons of a squad ID system to a dick measuring contest between a game that isn't available yet and one thats still in pre-alpha. Stay classy DayZ. And I just realized that guys name is UltimateGentleman and had a giggle.
Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted June 8, 2014 Well, you can't burn concrete down can you :P if you have a base in a wooden hut you deserve it being burnt down a bunker or something is ideal. I never said anything about not liking the Alpha-Phase I know the game will get better but if they're not going to cater to the whole fanbase and just the "hardcore" players and ditch it with their money that doesn't make me have any faith in them for future titles, if they do that then they're just so obviously money hungry. Lol.Not really, if DayZ is painfully realistic then so is H1Z1 it has the exact same stuff but more on a better engine.Have you even looked at gameplay of it? Zombies can kill you in 3 hits, they won't be like that in DayZ ever because all the "hardcore" fans would bitch and cry about it, having to actually use bullets on zombies and not players is a travesty. Not even sure what you mean by the two click thing, spawn next to each other?Because it's so realistic in DayZ that you and your friend can spawn on opposite sides of the map then use Skype or a phone to find each other when that isn't in the game. When in reality it would take you days or maybe even weeks to find them. What unrealistic views of DayZ people have.Bohemia has no obligation to create the game you or I want. They will cteate what they want and may inherit ideas from the playerbase as long as it fits in with what they are creating.

You have 12000 blood....if a zed hits you in the right place it takes 3 or 4000. Now if that's how they went for balance there, its logical to assume it will be similar in SA. As the SA is a "standalone version of the mod". Dayz zombies will more than likely be able to kill in 3-4 hits when its finished. Iv looked at the gameplay, 2 long vids....looks cartoony...gta style with zombies. Il enjoy it I have no doubt, but dayz it will never be. I mean did you see the driving physics, looked awfull....and they plan on making loot glow when you get close.....user friendly....easy version of dayz for the masses....if ya cant see that your blind lol

You don't seem to understand how unfinished H1Z1 is or how development works they're tackling different issues at different times than DayZ.Driving physics won't be final, how are the driving physics in the SA? Oh, there are none.Case in point, each team does different things driving is a placeholder just like many things in DayZWhat's wrong with glowing loot compared to the vicinity menu? I mean do you have a magic sense that lets you know things are on the ground behind you? Glowing just represents how real life senses would define things on the ground, it's easy to tell if something is laying on the floor to be used but in a game it's basically impossible to tell if it's a thing to be used or a static part of the landscape. It's not always clear if something is loot or an inanimate object, glowing and the vicinity menu are there to correct that. How is it going to be easier than DayZ? It has some more user friendly features but that's it. It looks cartoony because it's set in a nice colourful landscape compared to DayZ's dull dead looking area and palette.Just because there's a zombie apocalypse doesn't mean a place would suddenly get all dark and horrible, california for example would still be nice and sunny. There just might be a bit more blood on the streets.

There just might be a bit more blood on the streets. Al of that alpha spiel applies to dayz aswell....it does have driving physics....we just don't have it added yet because they aren't finished. You don't seem to understand how unfinished dayz is ;) When I say it looks cartoony I don't mean the pallet, I mean the terrain geometry looks awfull, and typically gamey....trying to make a small space appear large. Glowing items do not represent some form of vision didtingushing usable items. It just makes spotting them easier. Things don't glow in real life....we have to actually search properly, maybe even lift an examine an item to know if its useable. Dayz already has this in, we can miss loot items, pick them up inspect then determine they are useless. One of the above approaches makes it hard on the player and dosent make it EASY by adding glows. That's they type of decision that's a clear indication of the path they will take with it. That and squad identification....both ridiculously gamey additions. It again leads me to the same comparison... H1Z1= arcade but fun driving game (aka NFS)Dayz = Driving Simulator (aka GTR2) To put it simply I don't think you will ever see anyone ever calling H1Z1 a simulator ;) Edited June 9, 2014 by Karmaterror
Demonio (DayZ) 19 Posted June 16, 2014 This game dont' let you differentiate from each other unless you loose good gear (but it is still ridiculous going around in underwear) nor it have a graphic quality with enough details to discern friends from foe ... so what i asking are some gear: a armband or a bib (that i could craft) to give to people in my squad
