Finding specific players on a server

Hey,

i'm asking if there is a way to find out on which server a player is currently playing, when the only thing you have is the username. I know there could be 100 different users with the same name, but is the in-game browser really the only way to check if a specific player-name is currently on a specific server? Maybe you know game-monitor.com or other web-plugins which shows some details of the server in a browser.

I hope you guys get what i'm asking.

I'm wondering the same thing. Played with this random nice guy, but then the server shut down and can't find him again...
