acidwolf007 8 Posted June 28, 2012 Hey there Einstein in case you haven't noticed there seem to be a lot of servers running side chat. It has been on server this whole time. I don't have User CP access to server yet do to it being one of the earlier servers from the host provider I use. So mission files have not been messed with.Since my host provider provides a ton servers to dayz currently I highly doubt they modified the mission file as they are very thorough at making sure the people who rent their servers don't do anything to violate the Dev teams rules about servers those that do get their server shutdown by them.So either the side chat being enabled as a server option or there is a bug with the updates that are preventing it from shutting down side chat on all servers.Either way this is a post by a butthurt clan who got their spot blown up on chat while trying to raid the NW airfield by server hopping which is a frowned upon practice in any event. So keep exploiting game mechanics. The clan is AG-1 as you can all see from his screenshot so everyone put them on your KOS list since all of us legit players who don't server hop are playing the game properly. acidwolf007 8 Posted June 28, 2012 MrLiNk the way you say secret implies its still not allowed by the devs although I have heard it stated the chat is optional for servers if this is not the case I need a dev to come on here and let me know so I can contact my host provider about it as like i stated I have no User CP access yet. If its actually not supposed to be working for anyone right now I would like to have this fixed however at no time did I contact my provider and request it be on.
