How to Cap Fps in Dayz?

Recommended Posts

I like to have a steady framerate instead of having it jump all over the place. I have tried using Rivatuner to cap my fps but the program doesn't not recognize dayz for some reason. Any suggestions?

Vsync

Vsync can effect performance, because it makes the a screen run at it's maximum refresh rate.

Be sure your PC is beefy enough.

My fps ranges from 30-60 fps in different areas of the map, but I would love to cap it at around 35-40 range.

Wrong, it cap fps at max screen refresh rate.

You can avoid this cap if using vsync to avoid tearing by enabling triple buffering, this will make you able to have more fps then your refresh rate ( 60-75-100-120-144Hz ).
