Keep in mind, upgrading your GPU will do VERY little to increase your FPS in DayZ.

Keep in mind, lowering some options may bring down your FPS. Launch commands are good too. Dunno why you would call bullshit, plenty of people playing with 50 fps on some of these other threads.

I honestly can't wait till they add the new rendering engine. I'm hoping it has somewhat a similar effect that War Thunder had when switching to DX11.

Having a very high-end rig like mine really doesn't serve any purpose if you just play DayZ. While I will get anywhere from 130-200 fps in Battlefield 4, I'm stuck in the 40-70 range with DayZ.

Not if you're upgrading the CPU. And with the game soon supporting multi-thread, CPU upgrades will make a much larger difference than it does now.

I'm was intending for the standpoint to be upgrading an Intel Duo Core to a 3570k or better.

However, once multi-thread support is added, I can see going from an i5-3570k Quad-Core to something of higher tier such as the soon-to-be-available i7-5960X Octo-Core should hold some significant performance boosts.
