Remove barbed wire

Recommended Posts

Don't modify it. Don't nerf it. Remove it.

As it stands now, it the most abused, and least useful object in the game. It literally does nothing against zombies. Nothing. It is capable of breaking your legs and killing you outright when you attempt to step over it.

The only way to remove it is by aiming at two VERY specific, VERY tiny areas in the centre of the wire, and people already place the wire in such a way that it cannot be removed unless you are already inside the building.

In its current state, barbed wire is an EXPLOIT. It is not a tool. It is not an annoyance. It is an exploit used to make it impossible for new players to start the game, and to protect loot-farming server-hoppers, which are already considered EXPLOITERS.

Show me one server where barbed wire is used in a constructive sense. It does not protect camps. It does not stop zombies. It does not block roads. It is used purely for exploitative purposes.

If any CHANGES are to be made to the barbed wire, it needs to;

A) stop zombies.

B) stop players

C) have an increased 'interaction box' so it can be removed at any point along its length

D) be limited in its use

E) only be placable when in possession of a toolbox

At present, barbed wire is an exploit. Not a tool. Not an annoyance.

Exploit.

And the only people who disagree are server-hoppers.

I definitely agree with this. The way barbed wire is used is not for base building, it's to block off loot points to annoy others and grief areas. Whether or not they make the changes you listed or they remove it completely does not matter to me. As long as something is done. This is getting pathetic.

+1.

I agree. It is alpha and we are hear to test right?

Barbed wire, does it work? No. Tested and confirmed.

1 test down, millions more to go. Can we please remove it and move on?
