Monitor Shut off when launching DayZ

Whenever i try to run DayZ my monitor says that theres no signal being put. it suggests i run 1680x1050-60Hz when thats what i am running. The computer itself keeps working and i can hear the audio of the game but the monitor keeps going to sleep. Then the monitor proceeds to shut itseelf completely down and i have to completely restart my computer. What do i need to do to fix this so i can play?

What is your video card - video card sends signal to monitor.

 If it's an Nvidia card - did you update your video drivers.

If you have updated your video drivers you may find rolling back the drivers to an earlier version may fix the problem.

 

I had similar issues and I now run 314.22 drivers as they work for my video card and I have no more issues of back screen/random computer crashes/no video but sound only.
