Option settings stuck at an earlier preset.

Hello!

 

I have had a problem for quite some time now. Each time I restart DayZ, settings are reset to a certain point a few months back. In addition, when I press "config" other settings are rolledbacked to what it was when I first opened the game. This include, but is not limited to: Mouse sensitivity (which since the last patch I have to fix every time), keybindings and obviously the view distance, which I have realised is intentional. 

 

In recent patches, with changed mouse sensitivity, I constantly have to go into that first. Set it to what I want, and then go fix the view bar how I want it at the time. This become kinda tedious when moving in the northeast area around the airfield as I constantly feel I'd like the camera slightly different quite often.

 

So I just wanted to ask, as I've seen no post concerning this, if there is a simple fix to this issue. I have tried to simply reinstall, however to no success. I figured there's a way to try to "repair" the client, but as I've never done it, I'm not really sure how that works.

 

Any information or opinions on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

do you have your cfg files (located in the documents folder)  write protected ?

 

 

i thin, if i remember correct, upon Deinstallation and Installation nothing is changed in the documents Folder!
