You won't find silenced weapons in barns, silenced weapons have obvious benefits over your barn weapons, I currently have a silenced MP5 (quietest gun in the game) and while I did find this in the NW Airfield Barracks, I also have a Bizon PP90 with silencer which came with 5 mags of silenced ammo each with 60 rounds each (300 rounds total) all obtained safely from a crashed heli - we sniped the zombies around it first before moving in to loot it. So you can see, it is quite safe to obtain military weapons if you know what you are doing and where to look, and they have advantages barn weapons simply don't have. You can use the thermal vision on the L85A2 to quickly scan for targets to snipe, and then use the AS50 to silently kill your enemies in a single shot (yes, even if you hit their feet).Silenced weapons are also great for disposing of zombies quietly without alerting more zombies or hostile players. I carry a M9SD together with my L85A2 AWS and AS50 for this purpose.But yes, military weapons are often overrated, and won't do much good unless they are used correctly. In a 300m firefight between a guy armed with a M16A2 M203 and another one armed with an Enfield, the guy with the Enfield will have the upper hand when it comes to weaponry.Honestly' date=' the DMR is weaker than the CZ550. nerfed 8 Posted June 30, 2012 Look at it this way; the CZ550 is a pretty solid sniper rifle. But, there's also the SVD. Sure, you can do well with the CZ, and you can kill a lot of people with ease. But the SVD has a range indicator in it's scope, allowing you to snipe more effectively than you possibly can with the CZ. Or the DMR, which also allows you to zoom while scoped, so you can snipe both close and long range. It's also zeroed at 300 metres, and has very convenient mildots, allowing you to snipe quite effectively from any range up to 800 metres.The point is, barn items are good enough, but if you come across a higher tier version of the weapon type, as it'll have some nifty benefits. What is the point of a military weapon anyway?[/quote']Being able to one shot u from 1200 meters, seeing at night with NVGs, killing zombies and players with SD weapons without reveling ur position, having weapons able to take down vechicles, having weapons with 200 bullets, having sniper rifles with 20 bullets that shoot fast, generally being able to be precise on 300-400m distance and not only 150 meters i could think about a few more reasons but i think these pretty much cover it Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

A player can be almost as deadly with the weapons they'll find in a barn 5 minutes from the beach, as someone who has been alive for weeks and hoarding military weapons!I've never bothered searching for the military weapons, but I've used some from survivors I've killed, and I was always left a little disappointed. DMR, for example, rarely seems to kill people in one shot. The lovely Lee Enfield, on the other hand, rarely fails! All the 5.56 mm weapons are useless to me as they require far too many bullets to kill people - giving players ample time to disconnect!I'm very happy with the Enfield and the CZ550.
