irishroy 1347 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) there are lines with "AK-stock green/black" and "Folding stock Green/Black" Anyone checked, if we can paint them? Edited May 22, 2014 by irishroy
Katana67 2907 Posted May 22, 2014 I've seen some images on Reddit of painted AK parts, and an aftermarket AK mag as well. Not sure what exactly can be painted, but I'd assume it's the stock and handguard. Unsure if the weapon itself can be painted like the M4. As an aside, has anyone found any evidence of an aftermarket handguard being available for the AKM? Seems prudent given the fact that the stock wooden handguard is detachable. Katana67 2907 Posted May 22, 2014 ..... Because they have lootable spraypaint cans in COD right? And the ability to use spraypaint to paint a weapon is unrealistic?

SFRGaming 718 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) Due to the ability to remove the AK parts, I assume we will eventually get synthetic parts.Hell, maybe we will even get this:(Talking about the foregrip there) I painted my AK in Experimental last night but it seems the forearm piece and the AK body itself cannot be painted, only the stock. I imagine Rocket intended for the forearm and possibly the body to be painted, but someone probably failed configure it correctly. Katana67 2907 Posted May 22, 2014 You can paint the US PALM aftermarket mags in DayZ as well apparently.
BadAsh (DayZ) 1513 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) I can confirm the folding buttstock can be spraypainted: The wooden handguard cannot. I haven't tried it on the wooden buttstock. The black mag you see on this gun can also be painted. Edited May 22, 2014 by BadAsh
