Servers: "Friendly server, speak before u shoot"

Recommended Posts

So today i played on a server that said in title, "Friendly server, speak before u shoot" But the sad truth is that everyone that joins these servers just wanna shoot People that don't attack back. I got killed by a guy that i didn't even get time to see. I don't Call that speaking before u shoot. They just join, hoping that someone will try to talk to them, so they can rip their face off. It should be a program that checked the amount of speaking the last time u played or something like that. So u like, need to have a certain amount of talking to get into the "speak before u shoot" servers, and other friendly servers. Do u think that might be possible? I'm not into being shot by a bandit in a "speak before u shoot" server without even hearing a single Word from him, so it would be nice.

Go play DayZ mod if you want bannable rules, for now, there's no real way to enforce rules effectively in the standalone.

Also... "I'm not into being shot by a bandit in a "speak before u shoot" server"

Welcome to DayZ.

There is no honor in banditry... and there is a lot of banditry. However, a lot of people play this game as if it were a pure FPS, which it is not. It's not Quake, COD, Battlefield, etc. It's survival - and some think the only way to survive is to shoot first and ask questions later. Those folks are missing a good portion of the game that makes it different and fun.

i'm not into servers that try to impose weird, arbitrary rules in dayz. a large aspect of the game is that it is a social sandbox, with every encounter having a new possibility of friendship or hostility, loyalty or betrayal, support or challenge.

that said, i fully support the possibility of custom rulesets on modded private/community hive servers - once the game is final, released and established a vanilla standing.

Thats basicly like a "noobs only" Server in other games.

It just translates to "I want easy kills"
