At least it means they have a mic. Nothing is quite as unnerving as coming across someone without a mic and acting friendly. Legitimately have no mic, or are you busy calling in support on TeamSpeak?

 

If someone gives you instructions it generally means they have the advantage on you, so it's not like you're going to lose anything more by listening. Frankly if I want someone dead, the last thing I'm probably going to do is give away my position. Talking, or at least listening and following directions has gotten me out of ugly situations at least twice.
