Survivors body disappeared upon death

i snuck up behind a sniper and killed him. i was looking through his pack and then his body suddenly disappeared, so i was unable to loot anything. the body disappeared probably 15ish seconds after he died. afaik this isnt supposed to happen. what may have caused this?

Happened to me last night. I happened across a chero player killer and had to hack him to death with an axe. I assume he was PK as he had an AK47 and ALICE pack, why would you hang around cherno with an AK47 if you wernt going after other people?

So yeh. My first murder ever. no loots!

My theory is that they're trying to log before dying, but are too slow. Fast enough for the body to disappear though.
