Random death is being random.

I' pretty sure this would go here, but if I'm wrong, then just say.

All of what happened was in Berezino. I was pretty well geared, with a mosin, FNX, fire axe, tactical shirt, and TTsKO pants.

 

So, I playing DayZ with a friend on a server with only one other person, but my friend had to go AFK for a bit. And since the server had recently restarted, I had decided to scavenge for loot. When I get on the third floor of a building(Not the apartments) I look out side to see if the one other person was in a field near me, then the "You are dead" screen pops up. I didn't fall off anything, I didn't get shot(Unless the bullet made no sound) and I'm pretty sure the other guy had no sight on me.

 

I don't if it was a bug or if the one other person on the server was using cheats, but either way, I died and I don't know why.

I wish I had a video to show, but I didn't think anything would happen and there would be a lot of silently staring at the floor.

Could anyone help me find out what happened? :(

If the server had recently restarted, people could have been flooding it and you got popped with an axe by a stalker or whatever. Guns can also kill you and you occaisionally not hear a shot. Or... your buddy wasn't afk and ganked ya for what ever reason :P

 

Or of course glitchies sending you through a wall/floor and whatnot.

Actually, the server wasn't being flooded(I checked the players list frequently and I know it wasn't my buddy because he disconnected.

Although, it could just be that the one other guy shot me and i didn't hear the shot because of desync.

Exactly the same thing happened to me this evening, was upstairs in a warehouse out of sight and not approachable. Took a drink, you are dead..
