Want to host server in Argentina

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, I am from Argentina and while there are some decent servers in Brazil I would like to host one in our country to promote local gaming.

I've sort of googled and searched the forums (albeit not enough it seems), but can't not find which are the requirements to actually host a dayz server (hardware), and how to go about getting the latest stable server and set it up and running.

My idea is to rent some physical or virtual server on a local provider and then setup whatever is required to get the server up on the public hive, I'll really appreciate some pointers and links on how to go about it. Thanks a lot.

only large, established game server providers are given the opportunity to host the alpha testing servers, under strict terms of agreement, and with significant investment (like providing a large number of public server instances at own expense). so unless you already have established a reputation as game server provider with hundreds of high-performance servers and a robust, tested infrastructure for mass-deployment of patches, you will not be eligible.

the community will be able to host own servers in the future, this is not viable for the game at current stage though
