Two copies of ArmA conflict?

I have just purchased another copy of ArmA 2 Combined Operations from BI's website for Steam so I can have a second character in DayZ. It is annoying only being able to play when my brother is on so I wanted another char so I can play a lot more.

Arma 2 and OA are downloading at the moment, is there anything I should be doing to make sure the second copy of Arma 2 runs smoothly. Will it conflict with the Arma 2 folder in Documents or is there something I should be doing to make both copies work individually?

Edit: I forgot to mention, my original copy of Arma 2 is retail, the one I just bought from BI is Steam.

Anyone has any info on this?
