Bad FPS with good PC

Recommended Posts

Hello, I just recently bought a new pc for quite some money and i only went up around 2-5 fps in the dayz game mode and now i''m sitting on only around 25 fps, so now i'm looking for other solutions to make this game go smoother. If there are any links to good solutions or if you have some i would be very gratefull!

My Rig:
GPU: 2X AMD Radeon r9 290x Crossfire

CPU: AMD FX 9590 4.7GHz

Ram: 2x Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 1866MHz 8GB

MoBo: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, Socket-AM3+

PSU: XFX ProSeries Black Edition 1250W PSU

Memory: Crucial m500 SSD 2.5" 480GB & Seagater Barracuda 2TB (dayz and arma installed on the SSD)

I really was hoping to get more than 30 max FPS on dayz with this new rig, but i hope anyone can help me out a bit here :) Thanks in Advance!

Turn down rendering resolution, works for most people. Problem persists, go into your INI files and edit rendering distance to less than allowed.

Distance I'd turn it down to is the first option under 100%
