Where Are All the Animals

Ok, I have been running around in the woods and open fields for a little over an hour now and I have not seen one sign of wild life. Where are all the animals? There needs to be a few more animals spawning around the world. I cannot find any to save my life.....literally.

The coast ate them all up. I don't know if they are rarer up north (I know I've had hard times finding them up there), but on the coast they seem plentiful.

They're easier to see from far away, since the grass isn't rendered, and they show up as dark blobs. So find big fields!

A while back I was playing at night and was surrounded by some of the sweet, sweet 1.7.1.1 zombies. I was trying to crawl my way to safety when I saw motion out of the corner of my eye. I snapped to the left and spotted a cuddly little bunny rabbit. I didn't shoot him because I didn't want the attention from zombies and I had no matches. It was near the barn in Msta if you want to go find him.

That's about right for goats, sheep and cows. Boars, you have to be a bit lucky to see them through the trees. And don't mention rabbits, they are fucking everywhere :)

You don't even need to go off map, I have seen about 10 larger animals (cows, boars, sheep, goats) within two hours while up north.

Runways are a good place for some reason. Big open fields as well; when I'm hunting or travelling I keep my alt button pressed and am constantly scanning around me. You can make out the little blob moving in the distance.

Damn, it's so easy to find them.

North of Stary on the open fields i can easily find at least a cow and a sheep. Usually a boar / pig too.
