Will not be playing again until fire axe is un-nerfed

Fire Ax? Why would you ever use that when the fire extinguisher is superior because of the knock down factor? Sure, with the fire ax if you head shot it might be over quickly, but with the fire extinguisher he can do nearly as much damage and there's a far greater chance you'll knock someone down/out with that over a fire ax headshot. The only thing cool about the fire ax is you can open cans with it and you can spray paint it (a black fire ax is pretty sweet).

I am not using fire axe for zombies any more, i found that is far easier (for me at least) to aim with my fist for their head and kill them that way with 3-4 hits.

Yes. That's entirely my point. They die after A FEW headshots with a big fuckoff sharp axe. This is bullshit unless it's a zombie with a combat helmet. They should die in 1 headshot with an axe.

Having re - read all the thread it does seem a tad borked. Zombies die to ONE headshot with a weapon, but not to ONE severely debilitating blow from an axe. Sorry Sabre I see your point now.

Guess we're all at the programmers mercy it would seem currently until they are adjusted, if ever. Still, I'm not going to say it. *cough* alpha *cough* oops a daisy I just did.

When the 'new improved' zombies were brought in, I struggled with killing them.  Then I re-read the changelog that stated "aim for the head", now I don't have any problems killing zombies in melee in either 1p or 3p views, you just have to adjust for your swing as opposed to where the crosshair is.  I was running between elektro and cherno the other day and 3 times on that journey I get ambushed by at least 3 zombies, I just kept backtracking from them, waited for their attack animation and then ran in for a few chops with my machete, if you get a hit that send them to the floor, get a few extra hits in on them while they're down, then back up, rinse and repeat.

It took me about 5 minutes to survive each encounter but I survived it by staying mobile and picking my moments.  I'd lost a little bit of blood by the end of it but no biggie, 1 rag and a friendly survivor to give me a saline bag and i'm still surviving.

edit:-  I also read a post yesterday (can't remember where it was though) that was talking about being really close to fixing the wall-glitching zombies through using nav-mesh or something similar.  Personally, I can't wait.
