Adjusting eyes

Recommended Posts

OK so night is pretty hard apparently (I don't own the game so sorry if I'm incorrect).  People are saying it's nearly pitch black and all that jazz so why don't we have adjusting vision at night.

When you come from a bright light source to darkness it should be pitch black, can't even see you hand in front of your face.  After maybe 2 minutes you can start to make out outlines of objects such as trees, cars, buildings etc.  After 5 minutes it should be a bit better then finally at 10 minutes you should be able to make out outlines of most things such as players, the ground (different darkness for sky vs ground), most loot, players, etc.

If having a bright light shined in your eyes then it should go back to pitch black all over again.  This would mean having a torch shined in your eyes for a second would have you go back to pitch black.  Maybe strobe lights could be added just to really screw you up.

Also how about pirate patches and stuff, so if you take the patch off one eye and put it on the other you can see well out of the eye that was under the patch at night.

I've seen similar suggestions and I do think it makes sense. As for pirate patches, sure why not.

Well that's what pirate patches are/were made for.
