voice effects based on headgear worn

Recommended Posts

Simple suggestion. Depending on the head gear worn distort the voices of players.

My main inspiration is from STALKER when you spoke to people with gas masks on they sounded somewhat muffled but really cool and you could still understand them.

Headgear with could impact this would be:

1. Gas masks

2. Motorbike helmet

3. Respirator

4. The various clown like masks

5. Anything else that covers the mouth

Potentially players who are injured could also have different effects like if your very low on blood maybe you sound faint or if you have a broken let you sound like your in a lot of pain or shock.

Just a thought I think the status aliments would be more difficult but the helmet/masks ones would be fun....I wanna sound like the badasses in their exoskelekton suits ;)

Good idea. I think it wouldn't be difficult: add the filters, make it a property of the item, make the filter distort the mic but not the speakers. Golden.
