m3t4lh34d 4 Posted June 27, 2012 Managed to catch two abort cowards in action and this reaallly gets on my nerves, i checked through logs, found out exactly who they were and got their player id's, is there a way to use the console to ban id's after the players have already left, i'm getting very sick of this and i've had alot of complaints from users about people, i want to start looking into sort this out as i don't think its fair on the legit players who are willing to take a hit and bleed out just out of common courtesy. Go to the cfgdayz folder or whatever equivalent you have for where the server.cfg file is housed. Go into the BattlEye folder. There is a txt file in there called bans. Take the guy's GUID and paste it at the bottom of the list like this:96a6a61e37b2acf8eafd57a14d88e56c -1 Spawn HackingThe -1 means permaban. And make sure you put a reason right after it. Reboot the server.Hope this helps.Thanks for this, gonna go through the logs and check out disconnects now etc, shame the logs don't show the players stats as in just started bleeding then disconnected, or dmg stats from other players, would be more helpful catching these bastards, managed to catch someone using a teleport/vehicle locator script earlier that battleeye didn't pick up. god damn cheaters Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Love to come on here and cry.Gonna get my team to stick fraps on so we can get vid evidence to back up the server logs then it seems, i just don't get it, there is enough going on in the game to worry about (zombies glitching through walls and catching you with a haymaker) we shouldn't have to deal with this sorta shit, battleeye needs to step up its game against scripts as well, i've seem people in game telelporting in the last week or two that got past battleeye, and the fact that we're trying to maintain the playing environment that they DayZ team want but have our hands tied behind our backs due to the fairly strict rules we have to follow. I don't want to have to take down the server everytime someone reports cheating just so no-one gets screwed over by these bastards, but we should atleast be able to ban potential cheaters until the point we've checked logs to prove they're not, its a harsh way of doing things but i think guilty until proven innocent is the only way i can think of to protect innocent users from getting mugged by these thieving/cheating/cowardly bastards Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
