Major Issues With Setup (New Player)

Hey Guys,

 

I'm new to this so please be patient with me here.  I just found out about this game about a month ago and was super stoked to play as I'm a huge fan of zombie games etc.  I just got a new computer so my computer specs are good to run the game, but I am still having some massive issues. Here is my story...

 

 

So I downloaded Arma and Arma OA from Steam along with the DayZ Mod and followed the instructions of opening both Arma and Arma OA before opening DayZ.  After 2+ hours of installs and doing following those methods, I had learned about DayZ Commander and updated all the files as specified and got the mods for Epoch and Origins.  The first night I installed all this I was able to connect to 1 server.... That is it.  Since yesterday I have gotten numerous errors and just when I think I fix it based upon everything I've read on forums...something else pops up.  I have gotten the Bad Version Can't Connect To Server error and then end up getting the Bad CD Key error and even was able to connect to a server to be kicked for Bad Version 95834 (Or whatever it is) and told to get 103817 which DayZ commander says I have.  This is super frustrating as all I want to do is just play this bloody game as I've been super excited to find a good server and just PLAY! I attempted the verifying of files and the update and based on some dumb guys video on youtube, accidentally deleted ARMA OA and had to reinstall and did everything all over.  I've scowered the forums but I really don't know what to do anymore.  I'm sorry if this is considered a repost but I really just want to get everything sorted out so I can begin enjoying this game.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I will try my best to answer any questions to help solve the issue, but I am currently at work so I don't have my desktop infront of me currently.

Have you ticked the launch using steam & replace original Arma2OA files with beta so steam works boxes in Dayz Commander?

 

That fixed it when i had that issue
