not banned from Dayz but from a server.

so i come back to my PC after being AFK and get a message from an admin on TS saying if ive been hacking just admit it,

I work for a games company i have never fucking hacked in my life and he says this is his suspicion:

Can some one please clear this up for me... is this a hack ? because its what i am getting accused of and like i mentioned Ive never hacked in my fooking life yeah i could accept a ban from that server but i want to clear my name they can ram there TS and Dallas 1 server where the sun don't shine for all i care.

So can a Admin for DayZ clear this up for me cheers.

It's 100% positive it's not a hack...

As I am sure i found it against my name in the strips.log from my server...or something very very similar to it. Infact, I am sure there were close to 40 or 50 instances in my script logs..

Will check in the morning and confirm...

I had Dwarden say it was a cheat. I also had some other random say it had to do with a vehicle, this happened 26 minutes after Sherman died so if he did make it back to his camp, his leader Foo said no vehicles were at camp. Therefore he didn't touch a vehicle which made it suspicious so I went with what Dwarden told me.

That is correct i did not get into a vehicle i got killed twice after that if you check your LOGS correctly. also i wouldnt complain of being killed by a hacker which you proved if i was hacking as id just give my self everything i needed.

So dont jump to conclusions before asking questions.

Here's the issue here. Clearly some devs are mistaken when Identifying hacks and server owners have no clear direction on this. Our Scripts.txt file isn't even updated

Haze, we have a real problem at the moment with script kiddies. Thus, I have a ban first, let people appeal policy. Over the last 5 days we have been hit pretty hard on our server Dallas 1.

At AG we have a strict policy of allowing anyone to appeal any ban. Then we go and look at all the available information and policies to make sure we are making the right call.

This guy is well known on the server, has a pretty good rep and we were a bit shocked. I am handling the ban appeal myself and have already let the guy know through our forum process that it will be resolved within 24hrs.

I am disappointed that the issue has migrated here, I was hoping for a bit more "maturity".

Again, with hackers specifically we look at the scripts then ban...and allow the process to play out.

Relax, enjoy the game and lets leave the emotion for the Olympics.

yes gaius i just wanted to clarify from the devs that it was not a hack. i love playing on your server as i have told you endless times, im at work at the moment and i wil speak to you tonight if im unbanned from your team speak i didnt even get a chance to defend my self, the post on here was not a stab or a dig at you or your admins it was just to clear my own name, hopefully it will be solved as soon as possible and we can go back to paying.

The appeal has been granted. This player has been reinstated on our server with all privileges.

The script in question is of an unknown quantity and while there are questions about it, the player has been found in all other areas to be free of suspicion.

I for one would love to know what this script does so that we may avoid attributing "false positives" to players when accused of hacking.

On Dallas 1 we have a top notch group of game officials who are concerned with offering an environment free of hacking and drama. If you are looking for a regular server to play on please consider ours.

Dallas 1 is the best server i have played on with out a doubt, admins are very good at what they do and the TS is full of quality guys / players and yes i would advise it to people. obv i was pissed last night but any one would be.

hopefully a DEV can clear this up for me and Gaius :)
